Most approaches such as diets use a cookie cutter approach which just does not work for everybody as we are all different.
They offer a band aid instead of looking at the root cause.
And they are often too strict or do not help to implement long term habits that are sustainable.

1. Recognise the root causes
Learning what physical or emotional root causes play a role in the weight gain or weight loss plateau is important.
If you want to apply this to your own health, look out for a way of assessing the root causes of your health or weight issues.
This can mean that you have to dig a little bit deeper. The first root cause might not always be the real culprit, there might be another root cause under the first one.
Not looking at the root cause, is why so many people struggle to lose weight and keep it off.
And this may be the reason why you have been struggling to solve your health issues or yoyo dieting for so long.
2. Reset the body’s healing abilities
Unhealthy eating and lifestyle can lead to a build up of toxins in the liver and digestive system which may be a reason for hormonal imbalances and inability to loose fat.
This could be the reason that you have done all the right things and still not lost weight.
By allowing the body to get rid of toxins, it is again able to heal and lose weight which leads us to the next step.
3. Repair the root causes
Once the body has reset itself, it is actually ready to allow the body to repair itself. Only when the body is in perfect health, the weight will get to a healthy level.

4. Relearn healthy habits
This is what I teach my clients, as I found out that implementing small habits and being able to stick to them, is what allows them to maintain a good lifestyle.
Habits make sticking to a healthy lifestyle much easier, without having to use willpower.
The first importance of implementing habits and a routine is that it allows us to have an anchor and ground ourselves.
Like this, we are less influenced by emotional stress triggers and learn to overcome emotional eating.

5. Rewire the mindset
That is probably my preferred point and such I left it for last.

I see that they have some areas in their lives where they self sabotage.

Self sabotage is often rooted simply in fear and in subconscious false beliefs that we carry from our past or childhood.
Only once we address trauma, limiting beliefs and other mind set blockages. we are able to achieve and maintain our weight loss goals without it being too difficult.
