Have you heard about the benefits of granola? This great snack includes a long list of health benefits due to its nutrients and dietary fiber. Including granola in your daily breakfast will help you lower cholesterol, regulate digestion, promote weight loss, and improve heart health.

- 185ml warm coconut oil
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 8-10 dates chopped
- 720g rolled oats (if you want fewer carbohydrates, leave out)
- 250ml desiccated coconut
- 375ml sunflower seeds
- ½ cup sesame seeds
- ½ cup flax seeds
- 1 cup pumpkin seeds
- 2 cups nuts mixed (almonds, walnuts, cashew, pecan, brazil nuts) chopped
- 5 ml sea salt
- 2ml cinnamon
Mix all dry ingredients well. Heat the oil, sugar & vanilla and pour over the dry ingredients and mix well.
Spread on a baking tray and bake @ 160 C for 20 mins or so, stir a few times during cooking until crispy and golden. Store in an airtight container.
There are tons of way to make it. Some people mix granola with fruits, almond milk, cereal or yogurt. Either way, it tastes insanely good.
